Oxford Midnight Stars - new players please

Yo ice hockey girlies - us oxford midnight stars are looking to be short of players this coming season (i think we did a few games with 7 last year...) anyway, we like short benched but let's not go mad. we're all lovely, honest.

if anyone fancies giving us a try - we having open sessions over the summer, fridays at 11pm.

we only just lost the league last year (most goals and all), so we're not too bad but only seem to have a core of about 4 and a half players which all in all is pretty pants. and we're mostly all old with kiddywinkles as well and i'm yearning to pass the puck and watch a bright young thing with fresh teenage legs who skates quickly and goes to put it in the goal at the other end and then i can retire or get a cup of tea and watch from the bench.

don't let this put you off if you're old though. all welcome!! we can all be old together then.

probably not anna, as we have no players - i can't work out why cos we're obviously ace.

alternatively, does anyone have a space for an older person who doesn't like traveling too far on their team - i'm not too bad a player - better at forward, but have played some seasons in D.

we have 9 (including keeper). not looking good with first game in a couple of weeks.

i'm too lazy to drive anywhere else!! COME ON, PLEASE ALL JOIN US. WE'RE LOVELY. (ok, maybe a little old and lazy - but LOVELY all the same)...

i really think i'm going to have a join another team but REALLY don't want to give up yet - come on, LOADS OF ICE TIME, BARGAIN SUBS, LOTS OF SCRIMMAGING - what more could anyone want? ....

Check Oxford Uni as they are not in the league this season. I believe if they register for Stars they are still able to play in uni league. This was mentioned at AGM a couple of years ago when Cambridge Uni wanted to join league.

I still pay the same amount in subs and get more ice time.
