Will be interesting to see how the leagues are re-structered in D1 with Cardiff coming down depending on who goes up. I seem to remember the rule about imposed promotion being the reason they changed the playoffs to include the promotion relegation issue.

The EIHA choose to have an amended rule book to the IIHF, so there is absolutely nothing stopping them doing that again with this decision.
